Windows vs OS X vs Linux

Windows vs OS x vs Linux. Have a stereotype! - Internet - 2022

We all know that the OS wars will continue until the end. You'll have the Windows guys zealously enter the battlefield in their suits and ties. Apple jumped into the battlefield with rainbow gear that smelled like hemp. And the Linux folks will take down their pocket protectors.

Okay. I just put energy into the discussion. again! And on purpose it is.

I am now doing weekly tech news for a local computer radio show. I was talking to the host and wanted to start a radio broadcast debate about which OS is best by default for a few weeks. He asked which OS I wanted to claim. I said I would insist on an apology to him. why? because i use it.

But it made me think about it. In that radio discussion I'll have to pimp OS X like crazy. But once you take off your rainbow shirt, you fully realize that each OS has its own pros and cons. It would be more stylistic to discuss a broadcast that talks about all three major OSes. But maybe another day.

Let's see them one by one.

Windows

Windows are the big kids in the city, but nothing fancy anymore. Using Windows is like getting married. Where everything is, no surprises, and somehow it continues to end with a slap in the little face.

Advantages:

  • Bars in software availability because people assume people use Windows unless otherwise noted.
  • User-friendly (mostly)
  • Microsoft isn't fast with major updates, but it's good at patching Windows quickly when security issues arise.
  • We will use the widest range of hardware.

Disadvantages:

  • Vista looks like the Windows operating system is going to a dead end.
  • Major updates are slow. Vista took forever. Windows 7 will come sooner.
  • No interface enhancements enjoyed by OS X and Linux users (using Compiz).

Who should use Windows? Enterprise is because Microsoft is king in its field. As for consumers, does anyone really choose Windows? It comes to your computer. People who want an easy-to-use computer without paying for premium hardware will go with Windows. Gamers will use Windows because DirectX makes it easy to play games on Windows.

Apple OS X

Apple raked in Windows through coal on TVs every day with great marketing. They want to be the new cool kid on the block. And in many ways it is. When you go to the Apple Store, it almost feels crafty. As cool as you are in the Apple Store. But speaking from Kamp3r (the rules of the PCMech LIVE chat room), the Mac is like marrying a prenup with the same result but twice the cost.

Advantages:

  • A true 64-bit operating system
  • OS X software is generally better designed to match what works and what is easier in the course of your day-to-day work.
  • A high level of system reliability (which would be helpful as Apple tightly controls the hardware the OS OS runs on).
  • There is a lot of software available, but not as much as Windows. However, you will never want to go.
  • Leopard's price is far superior to Windows. OS X - You can make more money with term.

Disadvantage:

  • Hardware running OS X (Mac) is more expensive than PC hardware. It's great hardware, but it definitely has a high entry price. And Apple doesn't offer the mid-grade tower system I'm using.
  • There aren't many games for Mac at this time.

Who should use OS X? If you're someone who wants a working system and doesn't constantly fight, go for the Mac. If you don't want to build your own box, I recommend Mac. If you're a gamer, I don't recommend buying a Mac. A cheapskate wouldn't even go a Mac either.

OS X is an operating system that others are trying to emulate. I can't find any software for Mac that makes OS X look or work like Windows or Linux. However, both Linux and Windows have additional features that can make them look and function like Macs. There is a reason.

Linux

Oh dear Linux. Finally. Linux is similar to Clay Aiken in the operating system. Started off as a single venom, but try to change her hairstyle to make her look cooler. But to be honest, Linux shares the advantages of Windows and Mac in many ways. It's really attractive. But it also has its own downsides, such as a remnant of a grotesque history.

Advantages:

  • It's really free. Everything about it is open source and free. This means you can customize what you want to your liking.
  • With Compiz, Linux can sink both Apple and Windows users.
  • Choose the right distro and software to choose from. You are not limited by what the company has to offer.

Disadvantage :

  • I don't care what the Linux fanboy said too long ago. You have to go to the terrified terminal to do the scary thing. That means the command line. Wow. All Linux distros I've tried were on the command line within hours.
  • Hardware support is not at the Windows or OS X level. That said, if you're looking for a driver and found yourself, you'll have to use a package manager (if you have one). (As I said) Get into the command line and run a bunch of gibberish commands to install the drivers.
  • As they are non-commercial, some applications that are available for free simply do not match commercial applications. We rely on the open source community to create our software. This is good and bad at the same time.
  • You can open any file type, but most people will end up using software they've never heard of. This means support will come from the Linux user community.

Who should use Linux? If you want to use an older computer, use Linux. If you have an independent and somewhat contradictory mind, you should definitely use Linux. If you have the cheapest computer, use Linux. If you want a computer that you don't have to fight, a computer that you don't have to spend hours searching for answers on forums, a computer that can run commercial software - don't use Linux.

Linux is like a Buddhist monk getting married in the Catholic Church. It definitely works, but it doesn't work.

Conclusion

Yes, I have tied this article up in my opinion. I'm sure many will agree, but many others will not. So is the nature of OS wars.
